When you work by yourself or spend a lot of time by yourself you only have your view of the current reality. You have your own internal chatter that at times can be like a broken record. You have your own beliefs about what is possible and what isn’t. You also only have your own experience to draw from.
This can make it hard to find a different path, a different way of doing something. It also means that finding a solution to a problem that has bugged you for a while can seem impossible. This is when a fresh pair of eyes on the challenge or issue can provide a clarity that you just can’t find on your own.
Who do you have in your life to help give you a differing perspective on your reality?
Who can you turn to to help see a different way forward?
Don’t feel you have to do everything on your own. Don’t think that your way is the only way. Having people around you who have a differing perspective is crucial. They will have different strengths, knowledge, experiences, attitudes and beliefs that they can bring to the table. They will not have “the answer” but they will have ideas that will help you find the answer you are seeking.
It is important to have people around you, whether in difficult times or times of plenty. A fresh and new perspective is always beneficial. This is one of the benefits of joining a community; the diversity. Within that group there will be people who think nothing like you, and that is something to be cherished! So who can you bring together in a community to help you see your world through a different set of lenses?
